Why? They're excellent forks for the money.

My bike came with a set of Sweeps, they were very good. A bit more flexy than my Yaris, but lighter.

I've just fitted a set of Traces to my new Solaris. Haven't had a chance to try them out properly yet but they look nice!!

Got Sweeps on one bike and Vengeance on another, easily as good as the Fox and Rockshox items I've used in the past.

Been riding Slants on 2 bikes for the last few years. Other than the lockout breaking last May (actually only became uncoupled & was quickly fixed by TFT during a service) they've been superb forks, no matter what the cost.

Slides on my Solaris. Better than the Rockshox Revelations, Reba's and Fox 34 offerings that I've had previously.

In that STW is universally negative, or that STW hates X Fusion forks?

Just looking for a steer before I comment formally.

Love these threads with no discernible purpose.

I'm sure you and your new forks will be very happy together OP.

Really must pull the trigger on some for my Covert before they stop making the 26" ones.

Fitted on Cotic bikes and Cy knows what he is doing with kit

I have the McQueen's with the roughcut damper on my FlareMax. Really happy with them. I've had slants and trace's on other bikes and had zero issues with any of them.

I fitted Trace 140's to my Zero AM and the forks are great. Buttery smooth and stiff enough for pennine trails. They were left over from a FF29 I sold so I thought I'd give them a try on the Bird. Glad I did!

I've got a Slant on my new jump bike. I bought it at trade price in a clearance so it's by far the cheapest fork I've ever had and it's a solid bit of kit. I haven't ridden it properly yet but I'm already tempted to replace the Revelation on my proper bike.

Have sweeps HLR on my Aeris. Bird guys told me they thought they were as good or better than the yari and having taken both out for a demo I agreed and opted for them. Think they're excellent, plenty stiff enough for me and very smooth. I'm a fan.
