I have an '06 Enduro Expert and I only ride it about twice a year. Oh the joys of having a few bikes to choose from. I really would like to end up with a full-sus bike as one of my quiver, but. Thing is it is fabulous for the trail centre rides now and again... but I ride different terrain mostly nowadays, more Quantocky than Afan-y.

Question is, does the panel think I'd be better off trying to sell it as a whole, or splitting it for components and flogging the frame alone then getting a slightly more climbable frame and putting the bits on that?

Why would you need an Enduro for Dartmoor? Have I missed something really extreme there?

Surely the Quantocks is very similar to trail centre terrain though? I wouldn't try to lighten it up so it's similar to the HT though. I'd make it heavier and therefore better for more DH oriented stuff.

IdleJohn: some bits of the moor are quite technical. Try riding down off some of the tors on piles of random granite boulders. Great fun. You may have missed them...

Grumm: quiver: very old surfing term for several surfboards you have to choose from. Bit like a quiver of arrows.

RichPenny I don't want to do more DH stuff! I would like to do more long distance cross country stuff...

I tend to ride my FS more often on Dartmoor these days 'cos it climbs better!

(A Trek EX7 if that helps your decision making).

Haha! I used to live in Haytor - never rode down the rocks though......

Bellever is a good example of a rideable one. Some of the oververtical bits of Haytor are 'quite fun' but not if you're on a bike ๐Ÿ˜‰
