Topic: WU rims: Good quality of light weight, good speedy, good crosswinds& clincher rims surface improvement?

Most of the wheelsets are built, and most of them also got some test rides by now.
First of all, wheelbuilding goes very well. the rims have excellent roundness, so not much truing necessary during building process. So for the wheel building person your rims work very nice.

WU 88 T is running and had the first race last Tuesday. the weight of 1520g for the wheelset is very good as most competitors are heavier. The feel and sound of the wheels is also very good. I was also impressed how well the wheels handle even in crosswinds. I might not have a perfect matching tire on the wheels right now, because I used tires that I had some spares, but speed feels good, so after all I´m very happy about them so far.

WU 50 C is the wheel that has been ridden the most so far. They feel very good. Again the handling in crosswinds is great. On the first ride I had the impression that the stiffness might be a bit less than our standard stock rim, but I could be wrong. After all outside circumstances are never 100% the same.  The tire sits extremely tight. I had some trouble to mount the tires on the rims, but again ride quality is very good.

Unfortunately we just got a bit problem on the front WU 50 C rim. There is a "bubble" on the brake track. Benjamin was out for a couple of days, I wanted to show him before contacting you, but now you know. We´ll take some pictures and send them to you ASAP.
In general braking is good with all the rims (except for the problem on the WU 50 C).

Cherry in Asiancyclexpress told me that the braking surface of clincher rims now are improved. They use longer and wider carbon layer to cover the tire bead to reinforce the strength. The technology seems reasonable and attractive.
I bought the new rims again and they are still under testing.
Not sure this tech will solve the problem or not?
