Though I don't condone shopping with Tesco, I have just discovered they list shocks, forks and spares on their website; could this be a sign of just how widespread the 2 wheel revolution is becoming?

Looks like you actually buy from 'y frame discounts' and tesco is just the market place, much like Amazon.

my last set of brakepads were a fiver from tesco direct!

I felt dirty for using them but it saved me some cash

Not really. Tesco is not the seller. Tesco Direct has become like Amazon Marketplace. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can sell on there.
