It went to court and she got a six month ban and had to pay £150 damages. Not even enough to cover the damage to my bike. This unfortunately is societies attitude to cyclists.

Her insurance should have covered your bike damage, the damages is on top of that? (but still agree with your point).

He got off as the jury could not be 100% sure he had hold of me which was an assault. SO MAD !!

Annoying to say the least. I'd have made sure there were bruises and there were photos of them.

This has the slight flaw that car reg != driver. I could borrow my other halfs car and go on a cyclist bashing run, give her her car back and then a week later her get a mouthful of abuse from cyclists. Or even if you sold the car and the next chap gets it in the neck.

I think this is why betterdrivingplease was taken down eventually.
