Having bought a pair of 700x40 for my CX bike, I have decided these are awesome. I wanted some for my 29er but they only seem to come in 2.1.
Do they come up 'big' or are they as skinny as 2.1 sounds? Any thoughts on a good front tyre if I used one of these on the rear?
They're not wide, a true 2.1 I suppose, but they are tall. My 2.3 Bonty xr2 tyres are the same height. If they are the race version you need to keep the pressures up,especially if you're a Clydesdale like me, other than that they are awesomely fast.
Definitely do not come up big. Ace tyre, just be wary if you rip sidewalls regularly - you will probably do a Nano pretty quick.
Do you use them as a pair then, or match them with something else on the front?
Clydesdale....14 stone plus then? I'm 14 stone +/- a pound or two so I assume that'll be fine.
