[#13458754]

It's the Weekend Ride Picture Thread again.

You know the rules.

Ride your bike.

Take some pics.

Post them up

Say a few words.

Blast round this morning with a couple of mates that get every other friday off.

Still remarkably dry and warm for this far in to November.

Yet another ride where the bike just required a brush off and no washing.

I fear that will change very soon.

Aren't hardtails brilliant, especially when they are made by hand by a bloke in a shed just down the road!

@singlespeedstu thanks for that , I didn't realise , I thought with all the recent issues the site wouldn't be able to multitask, I'd put a smiley face but it will end up a question mark!

A little Friday pootle to test the knee - looking like the last week of dryish leafy trails of the season, would have been rude not to - also my excuse for the posh sausage roll and flat white at the cafe.

The hamsters say my pics of leafy trails are too big, so have the cafe stop instead

Early ride this morning. Van said 3⁰c and it definitely felt it at first! My sciatica is still making its presence felt, but managed 15 miles on the single speed.

Also got to meet a 10 month old bloodhound, who was amazing, massive and dribbly in equal measures!

Now to try these:

How is it mid November and I'm still in shorts and don't have to wash the bike?

Local "Full Yat", Uni and Mine Woods solo today.

First time back to Glentress/Inners in 20 years.

Did an old school XC ride on Thursday afternoon on the Glentress black followed by a jump session at the bottom (black taster line is pretty decent).

IMG_0699IMG_0700

Friday was great sessioning the tracks at Inners.

Loved Cresta, only got the one video/shot of my lad on the fast step down.

What tyres for a greasy, leafy Pecket Well? Was a bit concerned that these "part worns" I'd put on for a long, very xc ride a fortnight ago would be trouble, but they surprised me.  Great fun ploughing through the leaves of calderdale! IMG_20241116_152548083

You crowd are totally irritating, with all this talk of dry trails. The trails here in Belfast are a sloppy slopfest of total sloppiness. But at least the sun came out today.

@matt_outandabout they're pretty good! Very sweet though, so a cuppa is needed if you're planning to have more than 2.

Available from Aldi!

Does anyone ever plan to have fewer than 2 jaffa cakes?

Or are we talking packs here?

Out down't jumps again today, a bit of trail chucked in to and from home. Conditions absolutely prime. Bluebird skies which I wasn't expecting at all.

Unlocked a few new gaps...the hard tech jump line on the left is now all done except the last jump...but this is a problem because the last jump is ****ing *huge* (much bigger than anything I've done before) and also hipped the wrong way for me...hmm....I really want to do it though.

Day at farmer John's with the wife and my boys plus a friend of one of the boys. Only got a photo of my bike though. Good day but ended prematurely because my fork keeps getting bogged down. Service time.

Started nice enough but the rain arrived earlier than forecast and the wrong choice of gloves meant it became quite gruelling once my fingers were totally numb. Getting home to warmth was pure relief.

Final bit of bike fettling finished from our last trip so with a good forcast it was out and back on Cutgate from Langsett. It was bitterly cold up on the top and we didn't see any other riders. Trails were dry and running fast.

Started off nice and sunny then turned to rain towards the end, definitely noticed the temperature drop.

First proper ride in just over a month, was nice to get out.

Apart from the usual slop on Blacka Moor we mostly dry.

What tyres for a greasy, leafy Pecket Well?

Was down that way on Sunday. Terrible on the tops (sideways rain) but fun in the woods. I couldn't decide if the leaf litter covering the trail made it easier - "looks fine I'll just plough on" or worse "I absolutely know there are holes on this section that I can't see"
