I plumped for some Specalized Ground Control S-Works 2Bliss tyres for my new 29er build, when I was initially fitting them to Stans ZTR Crests with Yellow tape installed they were an absolute bugger to get on with tubes in place to seat the tape as suggested on the notubes website.
Well tonight I came to take the tubes out and inflate them with sealant, the tyres were still tight on the rim, and took a fair old push/shove to get them on once I'd taken a bit of the bead off to get the sealant in.
I thought to myself oh ohh, these are going to be a mare to inflate with a track pump (all I've got BTW), well the damn things only went up first time with no vigorous pumping, swearing or sweating, and stayed up!!
Next time it comes to replacing the tyres on my 26" FS I reckon I'll be going for the 2Bliss tyres again, they just work.
The Schwalbes I put on my FS on 355's were PITA to get up, taking most vigorous pumping and manipulating of the bead to get them to seat.
plus 1 for Specailized 2bliss mounting well, also Bontager TLR's inflate ghetto tubless, with hardly any swearing on my part too ๐
I've not had any problems fitting Nobby Nics and Racing Ralphs to either my Stans Arch 29er rims or my wife's Stans Crest 29er rims with a track pump.
But they can be a pig on 26" rims,
