I've been using the winter glove from Pearl Izumi for the past four seasons and find them nice and warm and keeps the rain out. I have even used them while boarding when I had forgotten my boarding gloves and they kept my hands nicely toasty.

Spesh Sub Zeros are excellent.

Have had two pairs of Sealskinz, happy with both - have heard reports of dodgy manufacturing quality and a lot of returns though. Test them in a bucket of water in the shop washroom.

I've been using Specialized sub zero for the past couple of years and yes they are great gloves. Very warm and as they are an inner and outer they are adaptable.

They are bulky though and I find that control isn't great with the inner and outer on although you do get used to it, the inside of the outer glove can also pull out at the fingers (a per hate of mine) if you don't take them off very carefully and I haven't found them to be very waterproof at all.

They're warm, adaptable and hard wearing though.

The thing is if it's wet it's generally not that cold so in heavy rain in winter I use the inner of the sub zero and a pair of extremities tuff bags. Now they really are waterproof. Again there is a control issue being mitts but it's okay.
