[#9318581]

Station bike rear tyre went down quite rapidly the other week. Alfine8 plus 3 years worth of commuting grime plus other bikes to use meant I've not fixed it..
Bought sealant to experiment with tubeless. Read on here previously it worked in tubes.
Noticed tonight I had removable valve core.

Valve out, fluid in, gave it a spin, quick pump up, another spin and it's holding air.

Win!

Why didn't I think of this before?!

Did this to a fat bike tyre as couldn't be bothered to remove it all for one thorn, been fine ever since.

I'd never thought of that but it seems obvious. What are the downsides?

Didn't work for me, congealed in the tube (due to powder in there?) and didn't seal a pinch flat. Normal tubeless now.
