It doesn't look right to me but those numbers look decent. 430mm chainstays and 20mm BB drop, a bit steep with a 68.5 degree head angle but it could work. I'd be inclined to give one a go if I was on that sort of budget

Always thought they looked pretty decent for a grand so at £711 I'd say go for it 🙂

British Cycling/Quidco/discounted gift vouchers to bring the price down I guess.

They must be, otherwise that means the one my colleague bought from Halfords Inverness was put together backwards 🙂

How can I make it 711?

Definitely. It's all a full-sus bike needs to be when it comes down to it. Basic but functioning kit from the major manufacturers - exactly the stuff I'll replace bits on my 2k bike with when they eventually fail. Bargain.

Definite bargain if you can get for 711. Pretty much a bargain at full MSRP.

Sorry to post a link to another bicycle site. I will buy some organic single farm sourced fair trade coffee from a small Lancashire specialist importer as penance.

boxelder, lexinoo
I assume, as did johnnystorm that some british cycling (-10% I think) / quidco (-4%(on net price less VAT)) and some other mystery voucher akshun must be involved

I have the fs pro and irs a great bike for the cash. Mine has 10mm longer forks but the head angle was slacker than advertised at 67. BB is low! It handles very well on steep trails. It's not the lightest but at £1350 with 1*11, PIKE and Sram guide brakes it's hard to pick fault. The geometry and spec isn't a million miles away from a £3700 orange.

It's boring if you leave it in the shed. But so is a 3k carbon full-sus. If you throw it down some trails it's fun. That's how bikes work.

Ok thanks for the tip. I should perhaps qualify that it *looks* boring
