To my reverb if I ran it dropped for a few hours?

I store the bike with it dropped with sometimes weeks between extending it, so I'm going to go with no.

It'll make it shorter, like the opposite effect on an astronaut in zero gravity

Should be fine. When compressed, it will increase the internal air pressure but it should still be within the capabilities of the seals.

I always leave droplets compressed an inch so that they still work in the even of dramatic changes in temperature. If you leave it up, internal pressures can increase and make that first release tricky.

This, and people lifting the saddle with the Reverb down are the main causes of premature failure according to Sram employed techs who train mechanics. Right or wrong, it would be logical to store the post with it under the minimum amount of air pressure though.

Depends on the time of year. I ride bikes outside, but keep them inside.
