[#447296]

Evening all.

I'm "competing" in the 2009 Transalp, an 8-day mountain bike race in July. This is a race over 600km with 20,000m of climbing starting in Mittenwald, Germany and (hopefully) finishing in Riva del Garda, Italy (most of you will know this bit). It'll be won by honed German athletes, while my mate David and I slog our guts out in the "lanterne rouge" position at the back of the field. Our aim is simply to finish; not being last would be a bonus.

In order to give this fools' errand an air of respectability and purpose, we're hoping to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland and we'd be very grateful for any support. You can donate online here and if you are a UK tax-payer, you can tick the Gift Aid box so that your tax revenue is diverted away from the bank bailout to this noble cause.

Thanks!

SC

You expect to get sponsorship and for folk to post here to tell you? Some might prefer to remain anonymous....

That's hell of a thing, but Riva's gorgeous. Good luck.

Paypal is great Ton (to me though, unless Druidh is acting as my banker...)

Not to the address in profile but the hotmail one I used for the Hope kit.

Cheers!
