[#7994513]

Now I realise I've been slacking of late with injury, a very poorly Mum and some plain old fashioned can't be arsedness but I've got a new bike and I'm going to ride it with or without you misfits.

I don't do responsibility at the minute so has someone more organised than me got any suggestions....

Or have I just been missed off the email??

I'm on holiday again. Back on the 22nd. If anyone fancies a ride from the White House then I'd be happy to lead one. Got an idea for a new route involving Mordor.

what way you coming in from? you can across from Egerton way easier enough or through bolton

Jolly Crofters: Chorley Old Rd, Bolton BL6 6RE

theres a small carpark round the back or a layby infront if you fancy dogging

I enjoyed that. I've ridden plenty at Rivi but Strava says that I've never done 90% of what we did tonight.

What was the state of the trail just north of Rivington road ? Usually a bog fest when I've done it, if it's the one I'm thinking of

The one from the top of the recently laid slab climb?

Yep. Very boggy.

If you find a High Five bottle in that bog/sheep shit mire, it's mine - but you can keep it.

its a sensitive [foot]pah and best avoided unless very dry or very frozen as damage is done, it's not much fun and there are better options available

To be fair Junkyard it was all pretty/very dry until that point and its boggyness caught us all out - but as you say there are other options.

the way you went is definitely the worst way....you fools ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not having a dig I dont obey the real rules and folk do as they please
I have only done that route as a climb up. Its not any better ๐Ÿ˜›

I was just aiming for stuff people don't normally ride rather than the usual rivy trails

So there is another route from Rivington Road up to Great Hill ? Never knew it.

If anyone can show it on a map or Strava then that would be useful.

My only successful attempt at ascending Great Hill has been from Brinscal, and half of it is a road, the other half an easy bridleway(but with exceptional views over the moorland).
