Getting my first roadie very soon and have a budget circa £1k, which will get me a decent alu bike. Something like the Canyon Roadlite 7.0/Cube Attempt but are bikes like the Focus Cayo worth a look with a Carbon frame for under £900?

I'm just wondering is it worth getting a low end Carbon bike or sticking with Alu?

Cheers

If you're tempted by carbon and fancy just the frame for your own build, go direct to the maunfacturer.

Buy a Planet-X SL Pro.

They are awesome value for money. (especially when SRAM Red equipped bikes were £1099)

Very light, plenty strong, look stealth in black.

saw a carbon bike in Decathlon, 105 groupset with rs10 wheels £899, might be worth a look.

Swapped the wheels for some Planet X model Bs and I have a reasonably light race machine for not much dosh!
