Hi, I have just installed a new chain and chainring on my MTB and have noticed that in the lowest 4 or so gears of my 11 speed it is skipping teeth under hard pedaling.
I have tried my old chain back on it with the new chainring and it doesn't skip at all.
My question is, is it my cassette that's worn
(it doesn't look it) or a faulty chain?
Many thanks again,
Jack

Cassette is worn on the sprockets the chain skips on under load.

Yes, worn cassette. I’ve just revived an old 10spd cassette That was skipping on the 11t & 13t with these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253842567973

Took 3 weeks to arrive but seem to work well
