Hi. Wondering if anyone else has similar issue and if any remedy?

1.5 Degree angleset fitted - as close to perfectly lined up as i can get by eye/ruler. But headset is either too loose or too tight - can't get it turning smooth and free like the Hope headset I had in before.

Any ideas?

Definitely got the bearings the right way up. Schoolboy error I know but does cause what you're finding.

I've never put the thin spacers in any of mine, it's basically a really simple headset so other than picking the wrong one or fitting it wrong there's nothing to go wrong really.

Stripped it down.

Cups are aligned.

Bearings in right way. Both cups are a tight fit for the bearings.

x2 thin spacers. Added 1 more and its much better.

Will ride it this weekend and see if all ok
