[#3830095]

I'll be down Milton keynes next week for two training days with work. Will be staying overnight at Furzton Lake Premier Inn, now I dont really want to drive anywhere after the training has finished but is there anything local that could take up a couple of my hours in the evening? If not whats the closest gnarr rad sick trails to said hotel?

Clearly you will be wanting Woburn then....probably 5mins away in a car but best to hook up with some one who can show you round. There's loads of fun to be had in the jumps area though for all abilities.

Ill be there tonight.

Sounds good to me, I'm nowhere near good enough to join the Airbourne Division but dont mind a trying new stuff.

Right who's up next wednesday then? Show me the ropes down that there Woburn?

Semi unfit, 33 year old kid, not technically the best and lost his bottle years ago. Although my skill compenstor more than makes up for most of it

Might be able to do a wed night after work if not keep plugging away on here as there's loads of other folk. The Jumps area has a load of downhill runs and shoots which you can keep your wheels on the ground with. Even just following your nose round there will keep you going for a couple hours without fear or just look for other riders....and casually follow at a distance.

Head for Church Road in Woburn Sands and follow the lane to the carpark at the top of the hill, this will put you right in the centre of all the trails and then you can ask or just follow your nose.

Sounds good to me Donks, hopefully day 1 of training will be pretty easy so i'll get out in good time.
Had a quick look round the Woburntrails website and yeah seems like i could entertain myself up there for a good while.

Although them ladder drops do seem rather scary

Go to Woburn and get your radcore on. There's something for everyone there, it's a great place to build confidence and move on to bigger stuff.

Dont start talking like this, i'll turn up in Full face and MX armour at this rate.

Does having 160mm lyriks mean i'm already overbiked? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not compared to a lot of people who ride there. I used to go on my Bullit with Boxxers but it's complete overkill. Now do it on my hardtail and its way more fun ๐Ÿ™‚

Hardtail Single speed here...dont do the big jumps but fine for most lines down the bowl...cept skyline.

tbh skyline looks like it would be fun on a hardtail, full of jumps and seems pretty smooth! Been looking at it and think I may give it a go next time I'm down there. The only ones I've ridden that I think are better on a FS are the old slalom bit (think it's called mini moto now) and the drops on hip line as they're fairly flat landings.
