[#1060495]

mate and i spent a day a month or so ago building a kicker to launch us over a fallen tree. have gone back several times since to improve/repair it. it was really well made and didn't 'scar' the surrounding area or take anything away from anyone else wanting to enjoy the trail.

went along today and found lots of deep tyre tracks and saw dust. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Did you have permission to build it? Was it on a legal trail?

If I owned a piece of woodland and folk built trails and jumps without permission I would be very cross.

You simply do not have the right to build trails and jumps on other peoples land without their permission.

You need to stop being so selfish and get real. Can I come and dig up your garden?

alright, calm down jezza.

it's on forestry/council land and the area is managed.

to be fair they've removed the fallen tree in order to move their trucks, but they've ruined the rest of the trail for other users.

a shame because there aren't very many trails in the area. it area itself is large and mostly untouched as it covers the old no-mans land zone of the old east/west german border. there are lots of fire (military) roads but very few trails.

one fewer now.

Think that tag might be construed as objectionable.

Why are you asking a UK based forum what is acceptable in Germany? Seems a stupid question.

Indeeed chatsworth. I assumed it was in the UK. The tag is just childish.

Maybe I was OTT but why should folk feel able to build jumps and trails without permission - especially in working forests.

Don't often agree with you, but this time I think you are spot on.
