MrsP is after something a bit bigger to take multiple layers etc during a longer ride. She tends to prefer the women's specific packs as thy fit her better (she's an 8/10 so too small for a lot of blokes stuff anyway). In the finest spirit of STW who wants to recommend what they've got?

Camelbak Mule? It's not women-specific but it's narrow, and big enough to fit in a jacket/other layers.

Me and Abigale are both size 8s and use Deuter Futura 22s. Big advantages is that they split into two parts for storage, have a space for a bladder, come with an integrated rain cover and a comfort frame thar allows air to circulate around the back. Plenty of room for all day epics.

The Vaude Roomy 17 is also a very comfortable woman-specific pack. It's been around for a few years now, in different colours.

What's 'women's specific' about a back pack? Next you'll be telling me that 29ers need a 29er specific saddle!

Ours came with a flower bobble which is a nice touch and is narrower than Kevins of the same make. The cross strap at the front is also at a different height for some reason. Bit like women specific saddles are a bit different for some reason.

Cross strap at front different height/adjustable to incorporate boobs. Saddles and packs are WSD for a reason, I wouldn't buy non WSD of either. Happy with a men's frame though!

I love my old Camelbak Daystar, but I have tried a new one and it wasn't as comfortable so sent it back. Will look at other makes when all the zips finally give up!

Thanks all -she's got the camelbak luxe at the mo and its proving a bit small. I'm a big fan of the deuter/vaude trampoline back system so I'll take a look at them.
