my wife has just a new bike and needs a female specific saddle. any recommendations?

I ended up taking my g/f to a specialized shop and having her bottom measured (sit bones), bought a Spesh BG saddle (£25 jobbie) of the right width to suit & she's a lot happier.
Maybe not for everyone but just our experience.

WTB Deva is apparently very comfy - mrs xiphon has one on both bikes (road and mtb)

I've just bought a Selle Italia lady as it got very good reviews - it's very comfy. I've also had a WTB Deva, that was also very good.
