Thinking of heading over there on sunday, I've only ever ridden the normal trails, is churchside worth a visit or is it all hidden trails?

Yes, just go and explore. Lots and lots over there in a small area, so you cant get lost for more than a few minutes.

Ride to the top, find a trail that goes downhill and repeat till your legs fall off.

strava heatmaps is your friend

the path from the church is a footpath not a bridleway, so take care.
As yoo exit that path tehres a nice run straight ahead that traverses, with a drop off half way down

if instead you take a left from the end of the foot path & follow the trail round just keep going south, checking out the trails off to the side

its lots of fun

If first time down some of the runs ride them slowly first. A few have blind drops and there is at least one drop you wouldn't want to try and roll.

great fun over there. Strava has loads of clues. worth going further over and searching (if you see an old corrugated shed then there's loads of fun stuff near that)

You dont need to look at Strava. Its a small area completey covered in trais. Just follow them all, they either go up or down. Seriously the best way to enjoy the place is just riding it. As its such a small area with so many trails trying to follow a map is pointless. The edge of the area is clear, its either a field or a road.

Sack off strava. Loads of friendly riders you will meet who'll be happy to help you there. Love Woburn

^^^ This! Hang around the church car park and accost any MTBer who rides past! Most people will be happy to show you the good stuff! There's nothing too wild, but you'll need to be confident with small drops and jumps, but as mentioned above, take a sighting lap if it's your first time, or even if you've been away for a bit because the stunt monkeys that build the trails are always changing stuff around!
