Trying to mount 2.25 LUST Ardent on Stans Crest rim. No problems with inflating etc but tyre has got a ponounced wobble! Have taken it up to 60psi and back down etc and the line around the bead looks true but can't get rid of it. Help!
I've got a Larsen TT that does the same. Take it back and swap it, or just live with it.
Mine was surprisingly cheap and "brand new" off the classifieds here... Funny that!
Have a medusa on a stans crest as well. Thought the wheel was out but it is just the tyre.
wet the tyre/rim with soapy water
Both my LUST High Roller & Advantage, on stans crest & arch respectively, have slight wobbles despite the bead line being perfectly straight on each. The first Advantage I had had a really bad wobble, but sent it back for a replacement.
As per BW; swap it or live with it.
I bought it online from next day tyres, would have loved to have bought it from LBS but not available. I really don't want the hassle of having to package and pay to return it. Are you you seriously telling me that £43 Maxxis tyre is this poor?
Jedi: I've already tried this.
Yup I think once in every umpteen if they don't lay up the threads right, with some residual tension or overlap, they just do this.
Mine is seated on the rim correctly as far as I can see, I think the tyre hasn't been manufacturered totally "true" as it were. Slightly irritating but I can like with it, ish
Damn their eyes! First venture into Maxxis land. Had a wobbly Intense and now this one. Thought I'd break from my trusty Mud- x. Pah!
Yeah I am venturing away (when the arrive) to hans dampfs. Partly due to the german porno-esq name
I've used LUST Ardent/Crossmark/Ignitor on both Crest and Flow rims with no issues whatsoever for 2 years, as well as EXO 3C Minions.
Dodgy one off perhaps? Considering the number made is possible surely?
