(yes I know the sun shines out their proverbial for most folk, but they seem to be pants here).

I'm waiting for one from Asos. I have a tracking number, but the MyHermes website wasn't working.

Our local Hermes guy is great and generally we’ve had no problems when sending stuff all over the U.K.

Except Bradford- where all 4 things we’ve sent recently have gone missing.

I get a dining feeling when I see that something I have ordered is being sent bus Hermes. Beurig shows up on the tracking, goes into a black hole for anything up to 10 days before magically re-appearing usually as out for delivery, but sometimes returned to sender for miscellaneous spurious reasons.

Took them 3 days last week to get one parcel to me. For 2 days they said there was no one there, 10 people must have become invisible, some of them were outside.

I would send thoughts and prayers OP, but looks like they get delivered by Yodel so I’m afraid you’re out of luck.

All my local drivers seem pretty good as never have any issues apart from occasional slightly slow deliveries.

Ive sent out a few sets of wheels via Hermes lately and all arrived next day and just fine in different parts of the country. Can’t fault them.

I was waiting 10 days for some forks to show up, raised it with the seller and Hermes had my signature to say I received it (even though I was out all day) and gps proof the driver was at my house. Driver left the forks on the front doorstep in full view so a neighbour took them and forgot to tell me! Lucky I have nice neighbours. Feel your pain though op. That Hermes notification email feels me with dread!

We are local crime lords and once we’ve killed and dismembered someone we post their body parts off with APC.
That way they are never ever seen again.

Never have any issues where we live.

Maybe it’s where you live OP that’s the issue, not the company

Our Hermes lady is lush, more than happy when I get an email to say a company is using them, and she turns up pretty much the same time every day (very small hamlet).

Her summer outfits are a 'treat' 🙂

Or maybe it is the people in the company who are working where he lives. Blaming poor delivery service on someones location is a bit victim blaming.

I've never found women with cigars attractive.

That was odd timing. As I was posting I got a text and an email from Hermes telling me my parcel is due for delivery between 11am and 1pm today.

I've sent thousands of items by Hermes over the years.

2 have gone missing, I was paid compensation to the value within days.

Then about a month later one was returned to me (rockshox SID), which I re-sold.

My guy picks parcels up from my porch and drops stuff there for me. Zero hassle, zero spending your lunch hour queueing in the post office to send an item or if I miss a delivery.

Thoroughly recommended.

My old Hermes guy was great, he left and we had a succession of utterly useless delivery people. The new one, about the last month or so is trying to take the crown from DPD Dave as the most useful, cheerful, helpful, chatty delivery chap in the world.

Since the last thread like this I've posted about abother 200 parcels and had one lost without trace. But full quick refund, albeit more hassle than previous times, still easier than parcelforce.

I just got 2 delivered on time....
Both were marked fragile (a lot).... and had been battered about.

Luckily they were packed well... the driver looked at me strange when I said not to put them inside but then he was carrying 1l of caustic and 1l of 97% sulphuric acid in battered boxes.

Needless to say I opened with a lot of PPE.

I have a 50% success rate with Hermes, but as that was only two parcels I suppose it is not conclusive.

Local hermes guy is great, once things get out the depot is usually OK

I did temp work at parcel force many years back, that was the wild West!
