Short lance is more preferable.

that's handy, didn't realise it had a little pump so you can use a bucket etc.

Had mine a few years now. Great bit of kit.
I fill a portable water container using rainwater from the water butt.

Same here, although I did wonder if anyone still knows/cares.

Trouble in the SE is the lack of reservoirs, it's not like they can just pump from the rivers to fill reservoirs every time it rains, they're relying on consistent above average rainfall to bring up the water table and fill aquifers.

I wash mine next to the garden tap but use a 5L container full of hot water and washing up liquid to wash it, then if it’s late or I don’t have time to dry it properly another container of plain hot water to rinse it.

Tempting, but I've still got my cobbled together 25l container and ebay 12v sprayer which works perfectly.

I never use mine, just use a bucket and brush. If anyone want to offer me sensible money for it, and can collect/meet mid Cheshire or NE Wales PM me. Spare big battery and mini-charger, but no brush attachment or folding bucket in my kit.

What's better about the short lance?

This is so much better than the cheap 12v eBay washer I had. That didn’t last long before one of the joints started pissing out water everywhere.

Love my hydro shot - just got a 10l water container from the camping shop and half full washes my fs bike comfortably - take it to the trails when it’s muddy so I can rinse the bike before it goes back on the roof of the car.

It doesn't. Its self priming from the main compressor that does the spray work.

Is my portable bike cleaning solution....

cost about 1/10th of a hydroshot, similarly effective (IMO)...

Where can you pick up those cordless drills for less than a tenner?

You don't already own a drill?
But you're considering a £150 squirt gun?

Does that bog brush on a drill not scratch everything to hell?

Nope, it's brilliant. I do set the drill clutch to '1' so if I hamfistedly jam it in somewhere it just stalls anyway..

They're intended for cleaning cars so it's a pretty similar application...
