[Closed] Winter(ish) gloves with excellent feel

I've tried a couple of winter gloves and both have been dreadful with regard to feel on the bars. I normally wear 661 raj for 8 months of the year and like gloves that are thin on the palms.

Any reasonably warm gloves with great feel? I've tried fox antifreeze and they are still too thick.

Antifreeze's are thick to begin with but like most things neoprene, they stretch and give quite a bit.

Toasty fingers right down to -15 last winter.

Failing that Assos Winter Glove system is a bit more roadie and touchy-feely and only slightly less warm but they're not cheap.

I've got some Gore Tool IV winter gloves that have excellent feel. They have pretty decent insulation, although my hands do feel it during longer rides if it's reeeeally cold, but are well cut and and give good bar feel. My only real complaint is that there is a stitched seam around the thumb that digs into your hand a bit when you put pressure on the bars. Not sure if this is an inherent design flaw or just a dodgy bit of stitching with my particular pair. Otherwise they're great and not ridiculously priced (at least they weren't when I bought mine in 2009).

Another vote for Gore Windstoppers.

They "stopped making them" twqo or three years ago - but seem to get resurrected each year under different names.

The windproof fleece is like the softshell material - thin enough for good feel / control, but warm enough under most conditions. They don't bother trying to be waterproof - just do the light and windproof very well.

this looks like the current incarnation - GoreAlp-X WS
