I'm sure this has been covered somewhere before but I'm trying to decide on a winter XC tyre. Most riding is in Swinley Forest and the Surrey area.
I'm a wuss on corners so something that might instil some confidence there would be good. I'm considering Schwalbe, Continental, Ritchey, Panaracer, Maxxis.
I know it's a very personal choice for each rider but any suggestions would be great!
TBH I just use whatever I pick up cheap in sales, or in proper mud I use a pair of Conti Survival Pros. Swinley/Surrey Hills aren't too slippery bar a few roots, so most tyres work ok I reckon.
No probs in swinley / Surrey hills. Anything with dome knobbles!
I am using Nevegal 2.1 - doing well ๐
Bontrager Mud X or Panaracer Trailraker
I used Verticals last winter very good I thought and a tenner each.
I use Mud X around the Surrey Hills...in fact for my XC bike I've left a Mud X on the front all year.
Bonty Mud X, the best.
maxxis high roller 2.35 60a good all round
yep kenda nevegals or blue groove are good......
tho changed my rear tyre for a schwalbe bobby nic about 3 months ago and ive nearly worn it out... back to kenda nevgal i guess..
