Hi,
Any ideas on this? I run a super tacky high roller on the front and an advantage on the back but was wondering if there is anything giving as much grip that is a bit narrower and less draggy. I tried an xc high roller on the back but tore it, so I'm looking for something light, narrow, robust and grippy... am I asking too much!?
I'd like to grip wet mud/roots and trail-centre hardpack stuff
Cheers!
Bontrager Mud-X? Not used HR's so can't answer the drag factor.
Anything good on wet mud aint gonna be fun at a trail centre. Why dont you jus use the same tyres as you do in summer? Same some money and it'll improve you technically...
I've used Intense DH Mud 1.8" in the Winter, liked it a lot.
Slipping round corners in the winter is all part of the fun.
I fitted my mud x this weekend and they were spot on for local bridal ways not draggy at all not sure how they will perform at trail centre I'm going to cwmcarn Sunday so can let you know after that.
on my other bike I run nevegals all year round they might be more up your street?
