100% Brisker. Don't know about REALLY cold... but work for me in low temps.

Came here to say Galibier barrier... sorry.

My winter road cycling glove is the Alpkit Haline - used all through last winter, never leaked, never had frozen fingers and rode regardless of the weather (rain, snow, ice).

Unless the design has changed, I’ve found washing machines kill them. The inner lining gets twisted and so does the membrane.

If it's too cold for Briskers I'm not going out.

I have tried the Briskers but couldn't get them on even in XXL.

Briskets are OK on the MTB but road riding requires better insulation due to the ongoing windchill factor driven by the continual movement at speeds that you don’t get on an MTB.  Someone did have some XL Barrier gloves in the classifieds.

lierally just bought some endura strike waterproof's, despite mixed reviews, for the commute/gravel ride

Light windstopper fleece. Warm when wet, and durable too.
I really can't recommend them enough.

For that temperature you pretty much need to move to a lobster type glove.

Carry a spare pair of gloves of whatever you choose to wear. Stuff them near a warm dry part of your body so they are warm and ready to wear when you nead them the most.
