Morning all. My Windows Mail has stopped sending outgoing mail. It still happily receives emails but comes up with this error;
The host 'smtp.freeserve.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'wedding albums', Account: 'pop.freeserve.com', Server: 'smtp.freeserve.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
I've googled it and it seems it's usually due to Orange changing its server name without telling anyone. I'm totally stuck here and desperately need to send out a pile of business emails. I can use my Yahoo account but it's not very professional looking....
Any help at all very gratefully received.....

EDIT - dammit - wrong forum - never mind...
The server address may not have changed. It might just be that the server is uncontactable for some reason (ie it's broken).
I'd suggest calling orange, but I know how terrible their customer service is.....

Ah! Just got an automated response telling me that Orange are "currently working very hard to resolve some email issues". Grand.
