after putting some rather nice Red Salsa bar tape on the cx bike. I noticed the packet had warnings about lead in the tape, and saying it is hazardous and to wash hands immediatly after contact. Should I just replace the tape then? Seems an odd choice of material for something you're supposed to hold onto.
As kids, we did a lot of fishing..

Already has by the evidence of red bar tape. Rule 8, man!
It is still in plenty of water pipes about the place
The nastiest stuff is the white oxide you can get from lead. In a bar tape, it seems a ridiculous material to use.
If you want to be cautious I would wash hands before touching God directly you wish to eat. Apple's etc.
Me? I would just replace the tape personally... So save weight.Lol
