It's just the pub / hack bike but I've got a Deore drivetrain in the spares box and fancied a bit of tinkering over Xmas.
Looks like it's rivited on. I'm looking to fit the 9 speed wheels I've got but convert them to the bolt through as it would be safer left in town.
If it's not possible, I will just leave it as it is and fit some V brakes as the cantis are crap.

it has no mech hanger so you are limited to cheap tatty mechs

Edit... missed that you were changing wheels.

I have a hone bolt through fit rear mech. i could sell you very cheap..
