[Closed] will an 8/9 speed chainring work with a 10 speed chain

I thought that 10 speed set ups relied on a narrower chain so i don't think it will work.

Weight weenies have used 10 speed chains on 9sp for a while

I reckon so. You might have an issue with chunky DH chainrings, but otherwise - you'll be right.
