[#2604562]

sorry for the repost but not much luck so redone the title to be more specific.
So I got my BB threads redone by BETD.
Then whilst it is stripped i was thinking about getting it powdercoated...then me thinks "hang on the insert/helicoil they have put in, is it glued/bonded in and if it is will the oven bit of the powder coating process ruin it...?"

can anyone shed any light on whether its a normal helicoil or a bonded insert and to whether the baking of the powdercoat will melt the glue (if there is any) and ruin what I have paid for..?

obviously I will phone them tomorrow but my impatient nature wants an answer now!!

any help would be great cheers.

If it's a helicoil it'll be fine no loctite is used or atleast shouldn't be! If it's an insert then need to know what they used hysol/ loctite etc.
