yes flawlessly, as long as you size your chain correctly. Im using a medium X.0 with a triple.

If it's going on a longish travel full sus just check when you install it that the chain length change through the travel doesn't cause any problems. Chances are it won't but if it does it's an expensive end to a rear mech at the first bottom out.

the answer does depend on what the large and small sizes of your cassette are.
I use 12 to 34 cassette with 22 to 44 chainrings, and a medium cage X.0 mech. it works but you have to be very careful since the chain length will mean either the small chainrin and 3 smallest cogs cannot be used (no chain tension) or the big chainring with largest cog mustn't be used (over tight tension/risk of ripping mech off)

personaly I use it with the shorter chain setting and am happy to do so, since I'm careful not to use inappropriate gear ratios.

if you have 24 chainring and max 32 rear cassett then the problem is virtualy non existant.

It will work, whether it will work as well as people seem to think will depend on a number of factors, as mentioned above!
