I fancy doing a few 'out there' longer rides. The sort where you don't really see other people or signs of life. I know mid Wales (and Scotland) is good for this but looking for something a bit closer to the Severn bridge for a day trip. Doesn't need to be especially gnarly or tech but would prefer mountain biking to gravel riding. Happy to hike a bit. Any good routes to look at?
