So ! As the title says wild camping how did you start where did you start and how did it feel for the first time on your own :-).....
My first taste was when I cycled to aglestone rock in the purbecks from Bournemouth some 20 odd years ago ! Bivvied under the stars got totally freaked out by a passing ship at silly o'clock good times !!!!

Mine was after a night train to Scotland, getting off at 05:00 cycling all day and pitching up in some ruins by a dam in loch lochy i think. Really windy so was paranoid my £20 Argos one man tent would blow over. Awoke in the morning to realise I was surrounded by highland cattle who also though this was a sheltered spot.
Had some nice single nights in the new forest, although not as many as I should considering I live right on the edge. Early morning mist over the heather is beautiful. Also says planned to do a overnight on the perbecks, never got around to it.

First time - In the lakes at 15. did a few trips around that time. That would be 1976ish. I have always done it with others tho
Trekking, mountainbikes and wild camping are what I live for. I intend to spend my retirement wandering around Scotland
Ran up to Madwoman Stones on Kinder and slept alone in my bivvy bag. Ended up listening to Radio 4 on my phone for company as struggled to sleep and got a surprisingly good 3G signal. Ran to Edale station in the morning for a cuppa and train ride home.
