Anyone taking part this year? Got the first one starting in Storrington a week Sunday. Not done as much training this year as I had planned but been out running quite a bit so hoping that may help. Hopefully the conditions will improve...
I'll probably do the odd one this year. I did the Storrington one last Oct and it was very tough. Lots of height gain, but it was the conditions that made it so tough - very muddy and slippy. I rode it the week before in under 3:30, the next week, 4:30 (epic) - although slowed a fair bit by my hungover buddy 🙂
If we dont get a long dry spell, then I expect it'll be as tough again. The chalk is like ice in places, I fell and couldn't stop sliding on my arse at one point!
Oh great, I was hoping it would be fast. I did part of the Goodwood circuit the other week and that was horrendous too so not holding out much hope. The video teaser also showed a nice decent that was ruined by wet weather!!
Apparently the course is 'dry and fast' so is anyone doing it? Bike is all prepped but I'm still not feeling the 36miles yet but will see what tomorrow brings.
