[#6593033]

After a big wide 29er tyre. Widest I have found is a 2.5 Maxxis.

Is there anything else to look at before I look at a 29er plus tyre?

Ardent 2.4 on a 45mm dually is large!

...a slightly wider rim will make a huge difference to any tyre, try a 35mm Blunt or 45mm Dually

Obviously without knowing what you're currently using...

Currently have a Crest but it looks like a wheelset change might well be needed.

The 2.5 minion is smaller than a 2.4 chunky monkey at least in 26 version

Schwalbe Magic Mary is a chunkier 2.5 than a Minion 2.5. try a German website for the best prices - circa 37 euro for a super gravity version

I top out at 2.3 on a Crest - look up about tubeless tyre profiles support, there's a link for it somewhere. Basically the more of the tyre is not supported by the rim there more likely you are to get a burp.

You don't want burps.
