Debating the whyte t130 yari, 100% happy with the spec apart from the RT rear shock, so open and pedal, no lockout, is it a bike that needs a full lockout for that hardtail feeling when mashing the pedals?

Don't see the point of a full lockout on any bike tbh, the pedal mode on the RT is more than firm enough for eliminating any pedal bob on pretty much any bike, I'd be more concerned it doesn't have a position between the two for when you want a decent blend of traction and efficiency.

Do any bikes have full lockout on the shock?

The T130 is a low anti-squat design, so it'll bob unless you're in the granny ring or engage extra damping.

I just took delivery of a T-130, had my first ride on it yesterday.

I was a bit puzzled by the lack of rear lockout but it didn't hamper my pedalling (spin more than grind).

OK, i'll replace the phrase "lockout" with "firm platform"

MrsbeanZ has the RS and hasn't found the need to use the lockout yet , the Yari s version doesn't get lockout just open and pedal which is all it needs .
