Does anyone know how to remove the Jon Whyte Designs bushings from the bottom of an rp2 shock? They appear to be fused into the eyelet.

How are you trying to remove it? A socket or a proper tool? (£10 on ebay with sapre busings)

Vice, that's how Mojo informed me it could be done. So much easier if it were a regular bushing!

Vice and?
TBH I can't see that they will be using anything that's not a "normal" bushing (happy to be told I'm wrong).

I used to use sockets and a vice to push them out, but it a nause to get it to line up right, so spent the money on a proper tool, this makes an easyish job a doddle and as I say for the price of a £10 you'll get a couple of spare bushings too.

If it's one of these [img] [/img] or one of the earlier Marin black sets, I think you've got a problem. Once installed there is nothing to get any purchase on to get them out. Clamp in a vice and use brute force is probably your only option, aided by the usual heat/cold.

Wow, apologies if this is what you have? I haven't seen (or thought of) one of those in years, think I used a mole grips to get a marin one out (IIRC), wasn't pretty though..

Yeah, I think molegrips were involved when I had to try and get them off my Mount Vision shock. And probably some swearing.
