Does anyone have experience of Thule ProRide 598 roof carrier with a Whyte 905? The bottle cage on my Whyte is fairly low down close to the bottom bracket and I don't know if this is going to interfere with where the clamp on the proride clamps onto the downtube.
I don't know how to test this without just buying one so wanted to find out if anyone has experience of using these two together! The Whyte is a size medium in case that matters.

I have a large 905 and a proride 591. You're right there isn't much space but so long as the bike is on RH side of the car with the clamps going in from the NDS it's been fine.
I clamp over the bottle cage. Possibly saves marking the frame and it's not fallen off yet.
I also clamped over the bottle cage on a friends with no problems.
Not the same bike, but in a similar situation I switched to a Fidlock bottle to improve 598 clamping. Also fidlock mounts/bottles are fricking cool.
If you go for a 598, look on eBay for Volvo dealers selling Volvo branded ones. I got one a couple of weeks ago for £74 delivered.
