Hi all

After a bit of advice.
I'm pretty novice but am upgrading to a half decent MTB for Epping Forest trails.
Seen this on ebay and wondered if anyway thought there was anything I'm missing as I'm going to make an offer but was surprised to see it got no bids.

Can someone who knows a bit about these bikes and ebay, take a look and let me know if this bike is fine and there's nothing glaringly wrong with it that i'm missing!

Thanks a mill.

I expect the high starting bid is putting people off. Nice bike though, I bought one as my first decent bike a few years back. Obviously the guy says it's it great nick, hardly used, etc, but unless you're going to look at it in person there's no way to be sure (which is the problem with buying any second hand bike of course).

Thanks Zilog for your help.
That's reassuring.
I was wondering what the strapin gon the top tube was but the seller said it was for lights or something?
Guess I'll just have to take the risk
🙂

Totally agree with zilog, the 2nd hand market is pretty flat, so he put in a reserve to make sure he believes is a reasonable return (which stop early cheeky bids or chancers).
That said, you can get a new 2012 model for £999 here, though obviously no extra as per the auction (light/multi-tool/pumps/etc)

Don't rush to buy the 1st thing that appears (like that), there loads of stuff out there, try putting a WTD ad in the classified on here at least (even if just to test the water).

Yeah that will be the battery for the front light strapped to the top tube. I wouldn't get too excited about the extras with that bike, lights/pump etc can be had for not much. It does come with a shock pump though (seller calls it "front suspension balancer") which is a handy thing to have.
