Think I've pretty much settled on a 901 with around £1200 in my budget.
Read all the rave reviews. Coming from a 26" Anthem X full susser.
Will be used for Degla and my annual trip to the Dyfi.
I'm a late 40's steady rider.
What are riders 'real world' riding impressions of the Whyte?

MBR gave it a solid 10 in the 650B hardtail test last month, just ahead of the Orange Clockwork 120S.

What month is that MBR review? Anyone scan a copy of it to my email in profile?

If you look at the product page here, they've got scans of the reviews.

Try and organise a test ride if you can. They're really big bikes (24.3 inch top tube on the medium!!!), long wheelbase, very little standover, which may or may not suit you.

I was looking at the new Whyte 29er hardtail series and the lads at Bike Scene in Guisborough recommended that I would be better off on a medium even though I'm 6ft.

Thank you, but its the Clockwork 120S that i'd like to read up on (the Whyte is a contender, but alas i fear it will not be the chosen one).
