Though I've trawled the Whyte site lots while deciding on my bike, I've only now found the 'technical' whyte bike support section. It's not exactly obvious on the main site!

Anyways within that, it say if you register your bike, the regular 2 year (limited) warranty is extended up to 4 years, so sound worthwhile registering..
ATB Sales Ltd warrants with the purchaser of a new Whyte bike that the frame will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. The duration of the limited frame warranty can be extended to four years by registering your purchase online at www.platinumcareonline.co.uk

Take a gander @:

In the grand scheme of things, that is at best a partial moment.

Not sure why you can't report your own posts, thinking about it; times like this, it'd come in handy. I'll see if I can find out.

what happened to the lifetime warranty? All Marins/Whytes used to have them, now its just 2 years? Lame move I think.

Please do try and keep up, the lifetime warranty was dropped years ago!
I've no idea if Whyte ever offered it, but Marin definitely did but considering they would warranty the frame for 10 years (I asked), it was a big responsibility no doubt a huge financial burden once they been around a while.
Hey I got two frames & a swinging arm from it, it made me very happy, but it couldn't have been cost effective for a small company like Marin (yes small, so imagine how big Whyte are). I think you'll find the majority of bike manufacturers only warranty frames for 2 years (only the really big players tend otherwise), yep it's not great but that life... At least Whyte aren't selling frame for £2700 with a 2 years warranty eh?

I believe it can lead to complete paralysis due to a feedback loop in some individuals

I thought lifetime was only on the bearings anyway?

of late Gary, Marin/ATB used to offer a lifetime warranty on the frames (again I don't know if it covered Whyte)
