Are there so many different types of Rockshox Revelation forks?
You almost need a degree on them.
What do these mean?
Team,xx, Ti, Rl ,RLT , solo, dual,rct3 and there's probably a load more.

New Pike internals were referred to as 'murdered out' by the Sram promo team.

I think it refers to the stanchions. They're black.

To create the illusion of a 'range' hitting price points, and creating a 'choice' and in particular to fill up the shelves.

When you go in the supermarket and see a shelf of small variations of the same banded product, that's partly to stop competitors getting their products on that valuable shelf space.

I agree with forks it's baffling.

Murdered out is a response to Kashima I think.

Basically forks all work nowadays and it's really hard to differentiate one brand from another. Kashima is a very distinctive look, RS had to find a way to respond without directly copying.

Solo air and RCT3 is bestest, buy them 😉

Or the Pike RCT3 with 'Charger' (!) damper.

(LoCo do not support murdering of any sort btw) Just so you know.

its not that long ago that getting an alloy rather than steel steerer added £100 to the price of a fork despite negligible production cost differences as the manufacturer could hype the difference in weight.

The paradox of choice suggests that having too many choices can actually lead to someone making the choice not to buy that item at all 😯
