How come almost all 29er Hardtails are around the same geometry at the moment, 71 to 72 headtube angle and 73 seat tube.
I've not seen any distinction between XC and trail that you would see in 26ers...I guess its as the market is still developing OR have they hit the nail on the head with 29ers straight away ?
You havent been looking hard enough, there is a whole new breed of short chainstay/slack angled 29ers out there.
Changing the head angle was just a marketing ploy to get more money out of 26" users. ๐
There are starting to be some 'trail' 29ers.Kona Kanzo, canfield yelli screamer, chumba hx2,banshee paradox are a few.Head angles are slacker and chainstays shorter.
Because it's all marketing bollocks and the bike companies know it's harder to bluff a clown than it is a mountain biker ๐
i had one of these new fangled odd angled 29r things you speak of...............it rode no better than a good old fashioned normal angled 29r from days of yore. ๐

Clown bikes have small wheels retard ๐
Yep I'm retarded how silly of me to so obviously make a joke about bike industry marketing and the old perception of 29ers as clown bikes
Obviously some people believe absolutely everything they read (rolls eyes in traditional fashion without a fancy semi colon bracket keyboard symbol)
Biggest hurdle to trail 29ers is exploding wheels....apparently ๐
Ah but only if you iz rad and ride the Q's ๐ฎ
