same for me rocketdawg

felt it the most when i learnt to snowboard, to begin with i thought it was the fact after i had injured myself i'd take it extra easy the next day causing me to sieze up... thought that stretching and keeping busy would stop the 48 hour total body breakdown... but alas no.

the more of a pussy you are multiplied by the more you moan about it = longer it'll hurt + less sympathy you'll get ๐Ÿ˜‰

inverse is true for girls

what GW said and your stems too long and your using the wrong tyres and your injury is probably helmet related.

48hours for me too, not just injury, a hard session at the gym causes more aches 2days later too.

Years ago I used to play badmington on a Sunday eve for a couple of hours, Monday's I felt really supple and fit.....................
but Tuesday's my backside felt like I'd had to share a cell with George Michael AND Boy George !
Always had this 48 hour thing. Even now with major drinking sessions, 48 hours later I'm worse than the morning after.

I had a minor off in May. Not a problem at the time. Injury steadily got worse and I'm off to see the sport injury specialist on Tuesday, probably for the steriod injections.

QED - you're probably going to be crippled for life RD

Thing is, you got up and cycled home I expect and it's taken 24 hours for the pain to find you.

That's allowed but I bet you were smiling the rest of the ride!

Glucosamine sulphate works well, although it has been disputed very recently in some trials.

Heal well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Bruising always takes 2-3 days to come out, using hot and cold compress towels helps...
and a wee whiskey before bed...happy healing ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Fall causes muscles to contract or more likely expand rapidly and beyond normal levels causing tears in the muscle tissue. The pain you feel is the muscle healing. Not neccessarily bruising, but the muscle tissue repairing itself by knitting back together. It must take a day or so for the 2 ends to find eachother again..
Simples...
