It would all fit so nicely. Each month would be 28 days, which is 4 weeks. So no need for months of varying lengths and no confusion between 'month' meaning calendar month and 'month' meaning 4 weeks. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy?

If we were going to do it properly then we should scrub July and August so that December is back to being the tenth month, then come up with names for months eleven, twelve and thirteen.
The extra month could be called Trevor or monthy MC month face after an online poll.

Why don't months equal lunar months?
Because then we'd know if payments are due simply by observing the moon's status*. If cloudy then there can be a clause for being late with payments 8)
*Also some confusion whether synodic, draconic, sidereal, anomalistic etc.
Humans are boring, we like to "round stuff up even when nature tells us that stuff can be different depending upon when and how.
Lunar months are 29 and a bit days long, so wouldn't fit into a year 🙂
When I worked for a local authority we were paid 13 times a year. If you kept your monthly outgoings bunched close together then you effectively got a 13th Bill-free pay packet each year. I'd managed to arrange it so that I got mine in July and used it as holiday spends.
That 'intermission' day though would mean that you bill-free payday would slowly drift over the years
While we're at it, can we have Christmas every 14 months, so we have a warm Christmas some of the time.

We should start a petition, they seem to get people far and change the world. At least that's what my Facemuck feed would suggest.
Surely the only sane answer is to alter the earth's orbit and rotational speed until there are a sensible number of days in a year.
