Lock on grips.
Took 2 mins to take the ODIs off the bars instead of faffing about with GT85 and and wooden skewer to remove old grips. Blimey. 😳
Anyone else finally got around to fitting or changing something on the bike that's an obvious improvement but taken ages to get around to doing or is it just me 🙂

Tubeless for me too, never convinced but decided to give it a go when my tyres needing changing.
Very happy with the results so far, though admittedly my old tyres were pretty shot.

Or hammer a small flat headed screwdriver in the head and undo them.

He did say "saw", not "felt".
Everything's got split clamps now though - which means lockons are nowhere near as useful as they were 5 years ago. The only real reason to regularly take grips off is to perform maintenance of the bits inboard (shifters/brakes) but now I don't need to bother messing about with the grips.
I'll probably get standard grips next time as they can be a bit thinner (Renthals probably).

My revelation was when I decided having a good dump was as good as rubbish weight saving ideas, anything under 36lb is good enough

Agreed on all accounts.
Especially the weight of lock ons. I got a few sets of foam grips for £4 a piece, wasn't sure what to think of them but planned to put them on the race bike to save weight.
They saved an incredible amount of weight, are more comfortable and less than half the price. And I can save even more weight by taking the oft mentioned pre ride dump. Double savings.
Weight !
